When cooking large batches, pre-cook ribs the day before your event. This allows you to spend less time grilling and more time with family and friends. You will have the best Old Ray’s Ribs on the Grill!
Cooking Instructions for your Old Ray’s Ribs on the Grill
- Season: About 2 hours before cooking, season the ribs with seasoning salt, black pepper, garlic salt, Accent seasoning, and paprika. Go heavy on the paprika. Store ribs in fridge or cooler until ready to cook.
- Preheat grill to medium heat and lightly oil your Oscarware Porcelain XL Roast and Rib Rack with high heat cooking oil.
- Combine all the basting brine ingredients in a pot and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Pre-cook and Baste Ribs: Place ribs on Roast and Rib Rack and carry to grill. Brown ribs, bone down, about 5 minutes per side. Try not to burn them.
- Upon completion, generously baste ribs with brine to keep them moist. When the ribs are done, they will be slightly pulling away from the bone. If you are cooking the ribs ahead of your event, wrap ribs in foil then place in cooler until later or refrigerate overnight for no longer than 12 hours. Ribs will continue to cook and become even more tender.
- Finish: When you are ready to do the final stage and finish the ribs with sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Preheat grill to medium heat and lightly oil your Oscarware Porcelain XL Roast and Rib Rack with high heat cooking oil.
- Place ribs on Roast and Rib Rack and carry to grill. Since the ribs will be warm, cook with the bone side down for a few minutes. Flip and cook with the meat side down for a few minutes and watch that they do not burn.
- Flip back over with bones down and apply the first coat of the sauce. Repeat this 2-3 times to your liking. It takes about 30 minutes to complete.
- Cut individually, serve, and enjoy your Old Ray’s Ribs on the Grill!
- Allow Roast and Rib Rack to cool completely before washing. Your Roast and Rib Rack is dishwasher safe. Read our use and care instructions.
