Marinade

  • Juice of 1 large lemon or 2 small lemons 
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest 
  • 4 tbsp. olive oil 
  • 1 tsp. fresh parsley (or cilantro) finely chopped 
  • 1 clove garlic minced (or ¼ tsp of garlic powder) 
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Cooking Instructions for our Grilled Salmon

    1. Place salmon in a shallow, non-reactive dish. Combine marinade ingredients, whisk until well blended. Pour most of the marinade over salmon, but reserve some for basting in step six. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours. 
    2. If using a gas or electric grill, preheat your grill to medium. If using a charcoal grill, start the fire and maintain until the coals glow orange, but still have a gray hue. DO NOT place your Grill Topper on your grill at this point. 
    3. Remove the salmon from the marinade and let it come to room temperature.
    4. Brush your Grill Topper with a high heat cooking oil before use.
    5. Place salmon on the Grill Topper.  
    6. Place the Grill Topper, with the salmon in place, on the grill grate directly over medium coals. 
    7. Basting the salmon with the marinade, grill the salmon for about 8-10 minutes until fish flakes easily. 
    8. Turn off the grill and remove the Grill Topper from the grill immediately (it’s convenient to carry the food directly to the kitchen or patio table). Make sure to use appropriate heat-resistant hand protection and trivets, platters, etc. when placing a HOT grill topper on outdoor/indoor surfaces that are not resistant to heat. 
    9. Enjoy your grilled salmon! 
    10. Allow Grill Topper to cool completely before washing. Your Grill Topper is dishwasher safe. Read our use and care instructions.
