Thanksgiving is all about family, friends, and unforgettable food—and nothing says holiday feast quite like a perfectly grilled turkey. With this family-favorite recipe and the Oscarware® 16″x12″ Porcelain Coated XL Roast & Rib Rack, you’ll achieve smoky, tender, and juicy turkey perfection every time. Follow these steps to create a show-stopping centerpiece for your holiday meal!

    Instructions for Turkey Brining

    1. Ensure your turkey is fully thawed, rinsed in cold water, and free of giblets and the neck.
    2. Prepare the brine by combining all listed ingredients (except the 2 gallons of water) in a large saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve.
    3. Bring the brine to a boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
    4. In a large pot or container, combine the cooled brine with 2 gallons of cold water. Submerge the turkey, ensuring it is fully covered.
    5. Cover the pot and refrigerate for 18 hours.
    6. After brining, rinse the turkey thoroughly with cold water, pat it dry, and refrigerate uncovered for an additional 6 hours to allow the skin to dry.

Instructions for the Smoke Grilled Turkey

    1. Preheat your grill to 300°F (we recommend using the Big Green Egg Ceramic Heat Deflector under the grill grate).
    2. Place the turkey on the Oscarware® 16″x12″ Porcelain Coated XL Roast & Rib Rack, which makes lifting and rotating the turkey effortless.
    3. Melt 2 sticks of butter and generously baste the turkey. No additional seasoning is needed—the brine infuses it with flavor!
    4. Once the grill is at 300°F, use the handles of the Oscarware® 16″x12″ Porcelain Coated XL Roast & Rib Rack to place the turkey onto the grill.
    5. After 2 hours, carefully rotate the rack 180 degrees for even cooking. Continue grilling for 1 more hour.
    6. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the breast and thigh before removing the turkey from the grill.
    7. Once removed, loosely tent the turkey for 30 minutes before carving. This ensures the juices redistribute, keeping the meat moist and tender.

The result? Crispy, golden-brown skin and incredibly flavorful, juicy meat. Grilling your Thanksgiving turkey with the Oscarware XL Roast & Rib Rack adds a smoky twist to this classic dish, making it an unforgettable holiday tradition.
